New Shortboards
for Summer
With Summer on its way, the orders for boards are rolling in. In fact - so many that we're now over 60 days backed up on orders. Insane (well, at least for us it is) to think that just a year ago people had little interrest in "ecological" surfboards, and now...we simply can't keep up. Our shapes have come a long way too, as well as the process of making eco boards, and this is helping. Above, you can see our newest version of the Flux Core Raptor for kiteboarding - with a full deck covering of the Bamboo for extra heel-ding resistance from the stress that comes with kiting. Below, a Mini Malibu in Flux Core. It sure is pretty!

We're really not the sort of people to sit on our ass doing nothing. Just because we've already developed a recycled, waterproof BXP-3 core, bamboo fiber laminate and overall ecological process, does not mean we're stopping there. Not at all... below is the first board made from our test "BXP-4" core. It has all the same features as the BXP-3, but we've taken a few of the "less ecologically desireable" steps out of the recycling process to create this core. Ecologically... very nice. The down side is that it has a slight "grey" hue to it (see far below with this Pocket Rocket sitting next to an X Rage). It now remains to be seen if surfers will accept this, or not. After all, the buzz word in surfing is "whiter than white" and nothing is as white as our current Intec boards - even regualt "white boards" look "yellowish" next to our Intec construction. We have a lot of testing to do on the new core, and it'll be a year or more before we even consider putting this into production, but we're keeping you abreast of developments here.
