Nah- I think it should go less science and more hippy...how about "soul" or "spirit"...or better still name it after a scottish river, I strongly beleive we have the "nicest" river names in the world here...how about "nevis" or "etive"...."coe"..."abbhainn"...fassy...."talligan"...the uber coo one would be "feith", pronounced "faith" but after the feith talligan which is the best river in scotland and i think this boat would rock on...pretty cool to have "feith" in your creek boat innit ;)

I vote for Juggernaut...."juggs" for short...... with a name like this though.....it HAS to deliver.
I like the idea, a cross between the CM and MB

Yeeeahhhh, Highlander works...or maybe Viking or something, better than the normal "punch" "wiz" "radical" bullshit...could be worse though and go to JK campisms...happy fun super star...fun....

Think that when this boat comes out I will actually get one....which is pretty rare for me to be willing to paddle something beside my Cm!

Just what the doctor ordered :)

I'm looking for a new creeker and based on the pictures and stats your new boat seems to be pretty spot on. A little longer Mafia or a smaller CM. I always drooled over the CM design, but being a small chap it is just too big for me. I've been using the LL Jefe past years and that boat is perfect for me size wise and the new boat looks similar in size. Just a tad under 250cm is also nice because it is easier to get into planes ;)

Nice long and continous rocker to float over anything, but still responsive in bigger pushy water unlike the bulbuous of the Jefe, yes please. I thought the bow of Mad Boy was very good, but the long, edged and low volume stern was a little too squirrely in pushy water to my taste - perfectly good on easier stuff tho. Will the hull have a slight fish form?

As for the name... How about Dragorossi - Voss? Pretty self-explatory after the Norvegian creeking mekka.

Here is an interresting tid-bit for you

The Mad Boy tail just LOOKS low rocker and long. The length realitive to the bow is actually the exact same proportions as both the Mafia and Critical Mass. Its just the deck lines and the fact that its lower volume just behind the cockpit (so the volume is also closer to the cockpit) that makes it "look" long. In fact the measurement from the seat to the tip of the tail is exactly the same. Also, the rocker is actually higher than most of the creek boats I've measured. Its just the lines on the deck, and the lower volume right behind the cockpit make it "look" like its "drooping" and low volume. Also the rocker starts later and is more gradual than the CM so its really all just an illusion.

Funny the effect a deck line can have on the appearance of a boat.

It definately LOOKS like the stern is relatively longer than in CM, Mafia or Gangster. But mostly I was referring how the stern felt paddling. The stern edges seemed to catch sometimes in seams of bigger, pushy water that might cause some issues in tight lines of powerful water creeks like in Norway or California.

Anyways, If the final plug looks mostly like the first CAD drawings we have a strong contender!
