How was your 2009?

How was everybody's year? Got any great stories/pics/trip reports you want to share?

I'd love to hear about other good times of fellow DR boaters. I know I had a great season. I was fortunate enough to hit up some great play with Tony Z this year. We took a tour of Colorado, playing and lending out some demo boats at a bunch of great spots. Then we headed to Salt Lake City for the Outdoor Retailer Show. We lucked out BIG TIME and got to surf a special wave in Utah on our way home. Not to mention my 2 weeks spent at Skookumchuck in September, and a bunch of time chillin in Washington's playground: the Wenatchee River. I've really been getting amped on what the thruster can do for me. Thanks Corran for making playboats with SPEED!!!

For 2009, I was able to shred some new Northwest creeks, rivers, and waves. Thinking back brings a HUGE smile to my face. I think i managed about 70-80 river days, losing track somewhere in early summer...I DID however catch a good amount on film, and if any of you have footage out there that you might want in a DR promo film, I encourage you to send it to Tony @ dragorossinorthwest@yahoo.com. He's looking for a good spread of the DR talent out there. So get FILMING!

2009 started off pretty well for me, I spent the last 2 weeks of February on the Nile. Though it came to and abrupt stop in July when I crashed my mountain bike and snapped the unlar collateral ligament in my thumb :( Surgery to reconstruct it in October and 2 months in a cast wrote off 2009 for me!

2010 though is looking pretty good so far! I've just returned from a 22 day, 300 mile Grand Canyon trip and I'm off to NZ for 4 months of kayaking on Tuesday. Keep an eye on Double2D for reports and photos from my trips (it may take me a few days to sort it out though, I'm up to my ears in washing kit and packing at the moment)!
